Quimby Lake
"Only " John said: "I lead 10 hikers to the western end of Quimby Lake along the ATV trails. We started from Washington Crescent and took the ATV trail toward the end of Elliot Lake and just as we neared the shore of Quimby we took the trail heading left (west). This section has some low, wet areas and a good supply of mossies but the footing was fairly firm. The weather was perfect and with the light breeze the bugs were not a problem on the rest of the trail. We had lunch on the shore of the lake near the point where the Marshland River begins. From our lunch spot we saw a bald eagle, a deer grazing near the mouth of the river and the High Rocks at the end of Elliot Lake, We arrived back at the vehicles at 2.15pm., a long but enjoyable outing." Pictures also by John, thx.
