Jim led 21 hikers along a roller coaster of a mine road, skirting the shore of Crotch (really?? were all the other names taken??) Lake. We had lunch on a tailings dam, providing a slight respite from the blackflies, overlooking Crotch Lake to one side and McCabe Lake on the other side.
