We could not have ordered better weather for this spring's hike up Mount McBean on the Sagamok Reserve just south of Massey. A nice breeze kept us cool as Grant led 19 along a well used ATV trail and up the white cliffs to unparalleled views of the North Channel and Manitoulin Island. Spotted along the way were bear claw marks, marsh marigolds and blackflies (cough cough sputter sputter). What was to have been a late lunch turned into an early dinner and it was a tired, but content, group of hikers who returned home shortly after six pm.
