With Emily in the lead, 8 hikers went on an 8km hike starting at Esten North. We followed ATV trail#2 toward Angel Lake. Passing numerous beaver ponds and an unnamed lake (henceforth know as Lake Emily), we had lunch accompanied by a chorus of bullfrogs. Two of us had lunch with our feet immersed in the blissfully cool water! Spotted along the way were star flowers and ladyslippers. A warm, but not overly hot day, with thankfully few bugs!
