I led 24 hikers along McCarthy Lake Road starting from the first boat launch, having a rest at the second boat launch at the end of the road. Then we hiked through an old bush trail to the site of an old bridge crossing which was used by loggers to cross the lake in days gone by. On the hike we saw campers, hunters, and a great blue heron in the reeds near the beaver dam where we all had lunch. TO VIEW THE PHOTOS OF THIS HIKE, PLEASE CLICK HERE
