Grant lead 12 hikers on a foggy morning hike to Lower Rochester Creek. Still traces of snow in the bush and lots of running water. The trail had some muddy patches but the ground was still frozen for the most part. The volume of water flowing through Rochester Creek was the most anyone can remember seeing. The sun tried to burn through the fog over Quirke Lake around noon hour and most hikers were removing layers for the walk back to the cars. Perfect time of the year for this hike; great choice Grant!
