Fourteen hikers, still awaiting spring and led by Grant, bundled up for a walk along the road at the end of Panel Mine Road. The ground cover was still very white and there was a cold wind. We went as far as we could go when we were confronted with a pile of snow and had a leisurely lunch out of the wind on top of a hill. Signs of spring trying to show were some pussywillows and a ruffed grouse scrounging around for food. PHOTOS
