Slipper Lake, 2019-03-26

Photos and commentary by Emily Windle
Gayle and Don led us us on a hike from the north eastern shore of  Slipper Lake to a lookout over the southern end of Slipper Lake .
The trail had been chewed up be an ATV with tracks. But that was only for about 200 yards. The rest of the trail had been stomped down by other snowshoers.
It was a gorgeous sunny day with minus 8 at the beginning of our hike. We had a lunch break on the shore of Crystal Lake. Lots of very stimulating , scintillating conversation as usual!
The lunch place had been visited before us by a furry critter that had just awakened from a winter's sleep.
Don and Gayle timed the hike perfectly as we finished just as the snow.
