Hike to Unnamed Lake, 2019-04-02

Photos and commentary by Emily Windle:
April  2nd  on a mild snowy/ rainy morning eight hikers started out from the baseball field on Pearson Ave.
We followed ATV 2 trails south and west.  The trails were groomed and good to walk without snowshoes.  We saw squirrel, hare snd fox tracks along the way.  We could smell the musky scent of a fox a few times.
The trail to a nice point on an unnamed lake was too steep to walk down. So,  we enjoyed lunch and conversation at another flatter part of the shore on that lake.
Jean Guy talked about the size of an alligator he saw in Florida. People had to make do with sitting on stumps, rocks or whatever.
We also marvelled at a huge Boulder along the trail.
Someone said it looked like greenstone.
