For those of you who like an adventure and weather permitting, on Thursday, August 20th we will hike the Semiwite trail at Mississagi Provincial Park. The trail has only been partially cleared so we will probably encounter some challenging areas. My hope is to flag any parts of the trail that haven't been clearly marked. In order to start the hike early enough, I will meet you at the gatehouse at 9:30 am. Sarah has waived the entry fee because of the work we have done in clearing other trails. From there, we will head to the parking area where we will the start the hike. Just a reminder, they are resurfacing highway 639 so the ride out to the park takes a bit longer than usual. Make sure to bring a lunch and lots of water to drink.
Following the outing, Gerry offered to cook up some hot dogs. A small reward for our efforts.
