Fifteen hikers about from Spruce Beach . We headed west along the shore line trail to Spine Beach. Icy conditions along board walks most of
the trail . We then continued west along a shore line trail that has recently been marked. It is between the ski trail and the shore line. We followed the trail for about 2 km to our lunch spot among the hemlocks.
We then went through some rocks and "shin tangle" for about 100 yards up to the ski trail just beyond the 1 km mark. We headed back to the Spune Beach and then along the slippery trail to Spruce Beach. A distance of 7 + km but slow going due to the slippery conditions.
Lots of laughs and highly spirited conversations.
