Last week Brian asked about a "Cobre Before Christmas" hike. After a rest day on Wednesday, 3 of us (Brian, Tim and Heber) did the loop in a record breaking (for 17 December) 7 hours. Chilly at the 9am start, but toes warmed up through the day. Ice on the lakes was tested and passed with flying colours. Many blowdowns for a future trail clearing party. Lunch was enjoyed on a snow and sand beach. We were only off trail a couple times and we will perhaps turn this into a monthly event?
