COBRE LAKE TRAIL CLEARING

Today 5 of us went to the Cobre Lake trail to clean up some blow downs. The morning started out with a little frost on the windshield. The weather gods were in our favor with nary a cloud in the sky. Stellar day for a bit of chainsaw work. We worked our way in the back way to the trappers cabin with all hands busy lopping and sawing and tossing cut logs. I think we were having a bit of fun cracking a few jokes and a few "comments". The blowdown at the mine was a bit of a challenge with me (Heber) cutting on one side of the tree and Brian on the other side. we got 'er down and rolled the logs out of the way. Lunch was had at the mine site. After lunch we proceeded on to the bottom of Blue Sky lake where we took the escape route back to Bolan River road. I think I can safely say that although there was some hard work that needed to be done, we all had a few laughs and a good time. The trail is ready for a hike. Who wants to lead?
