Fourteen hikers braved very icy conditions on the trails to Esten Lake today. The fresh snow covered ice resulting from the recent thaw/freeze and it was necessary to keep to the very sides of the trails to avoid calamity. Blue sky and sunshine kept the temperatures comfortable and all enjoyed a pleasant walk in the woods, with the usual great conversation.
