Monday’s hike, led by Renee, kept us in town on account of weather/road conditions. A group of 8 hikers started out from the Miner’s Memorial to Horne Island. The freshly fallen snow added to the beauty of the trees and cliffs around Horne Lake - a winter wonderland. We added an extra kilometre plus by continuing to the Ski Hill and returning on the ATV trail back to the cars. We were fortunate enough to see 4 bald eagles flying above the cliffs!
Bloggers note : Renee’s first hike as leader ... another great success
