20 hikers were led by Bonnie to the trail along Slipper lake. The planned hike was turning out to be very short so the group was polled and the trail was extended toward Pim’s camp. After the hefty hill the route led to the Frame Esten road and eventually back near the cars. The hike therefore became more challenging than a typical Monday hike ! (Sorry folks)
The pileated woodpecker was spotted and one tree was almost demolished by its work. The news of the new Covid restrictions was the topic of discussion at the break. Thanks to Dave who helped Bonnie out as husband Bill is nursing a bad back.
