Five of us hiked to Sandy Beach this morning. It was the quintessential day for a snowshoe hike. The temp was right, the sky a bright overcast and the light snow flurries gently floating to the ground made for magical moments.
The trail was packed down for about 1/3 of the way (no pun here) then we had to break trail for the rest of the way. We tried going out onto the ice, however we encountered slush so we headed back into the bush. After a snack and well deserved break we headed back to the parking lot. We were all happy to see the vehicles.
