Bill and Bonnie led the hike today with a small group of five. It was a Monday hike so it was not long and that was a good thing due to the chilly weather. We started at the monument and headed along Bob’s trail to the cut off onto the Horne Lake island. We circumnavigated the Horne island ( big word for a ten minute loop) with a stop at the campfire site. There were a few tracks here and there but the ones we were surprised at were the cross country ski tracks which were headed straight up the hill toward the cliffs. After the return trip to the cars we headed for coffee and chat at McDonalds.
