Dave led a great 8 out the woodpecker, to Crystal and to the Slipper lookout.. only 40 minutes of mostly up hill... the poll said "let's do the slipper trail back" so we came back down the woods trail to the shore of slipper and after a pleasant rest on the shore, grudgingly picked up and followed the shore back to the snow dump.. pleasant fall day, lots of interesting chats, practicing footwork in spots... clearing a bit on the trail.. all made it back by 12:15
