It was all planned.
I checked out the trail on Sunday.
Park at Glenden Park. Start at the Washington apartments and take a trail west and then south to the Washington Snow Dump. Hike back on that roadway to the parking area at Glenden Park. Weather Network said there was to be a clearing of weather between 10 and noon.
It was predicted too early!! Eight hardy souls came to the Scotia Bank meeting spot and stood around in rain mixed with snow with no signs of lessening in precipitation. I had to cancel due to the heavy cloud cover and weather conditions.
We went our separate ways: shopping errands; housecleaning........ and wouldn't you know it!!!!???
The skies cleared up by 10:30!!
Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket. My luck has to change!
Anyway, that is the way it was.
We will have better luck next time.
