HELENS TRAIL 2022 10 12

 Thirteen shivering hikers met at the circle and we quickly car pooled to the trail head on Stanrock road. The wind was non existent in the woods which made the hiking very enjoyable.  The condition of the trail was excellent and only small trees to walk over. We noticed that the beavers have been really busy and one of the trees had a white marker on it…bad beaver! We had intended on lunching on the top overlooking Northspan Lake but it was windy and cold so we decided to hike the 150 and stopped at a lovely clearing with some seating. It was a wonderful hike with some gentle snow falling. Awesome, get the snowshoes ready!!
