All 5 of us were suitably impressed by the huge pile of snow left by the plows behind the Scotiabank.
We stomped out most of the Yellow Trail starting at the far entrance opposite the Milliken Minesite.
There were some animal tracks such as grouse, deer and possibly otter. Snowfleas were out in abundance.
Heard chickadees and blue jays and spied one raven in flight.
We took turns being the "lead stomper" which made things a bit easier in the heavy, wet snow.
The usual trouble of ice build up under the snowshoes and under our boot heels kept us on our toes. (Sorry, could not help it).
At lunch break we met a family walking on the trail we had stomped earlier. They were walking in their boots and enjoying the trail.
Unfortunately, we did not take photos. So, no proof that we witnessed a Sasquatch ice fishing!!
Anyway, it was a good day .
Happy New Year!!
