Emily had to bail so I led 7 of us where she had planned, namely Spur Lake..
Warm day from the Esten boat launch up the hill and along to the Spur rocky point.. we passed a large puddle with dozens of frogs, a garter snake, a few reddish toads and the star of the show,,,,, a porcupine... (only the frogs were in the pond)
two fishermen were at the lake but no fish yet.. yellow hawkweed and bunchberry blooms all along the side..
very pleasant outing..
