The plan for Thursday, weather permitting, is to do the section of the Trans Canada Trail between Nordic Mine Rd. and the west end of Westner Lake. There are some great views from the top of the ridge. It’s a one-way route, so we will meet at the bank, carpool to the trailhead, hike west along the TCT and end up back at the bank. The distance is about 8 km and estimated time is 3-3.5 hrs. Some of the sections are fairly rugged, so sturdy footwear is strongly recommended.
