Mt. Belvedere Thursday Morn. 6 Jul 2023
Weather radar is never wrong. The rain this morning had ended by the time of the circle, or, rather, line. So there are at least 2 keen hikers in Elliot Lake. The hiker noticed blue sky to the north. The hike up the hill was excellent, with water on the foliage but not the rocks, by the time we arrived. Blueberries are out, and another tasty berry to be identified. The view was as expected with some sun and clouds. A relatively lengthy break at the summit was enjoyed so as to dry out sweaty clothing and gather wild edibles. The descent was straightforward and the hike leader spotted a few toadies. Noticed that the duck boards near the start are in dire need of repair. Looking forward to tackle the entire Cobre in the fall.
