Six of us followed Dave on a Men's Hike today. From Spine Beach along the snowmobile trail over to Slipper Lake and out to the picnic area.. 5 kms out and back.. bugs not bad at all.. picked a dozen ripe blueberries.. Elderberry out in crimson glory.. birds chittering away, visited the Slipper Beach on the way back.. many side trails beckoned but even Jean Guy refrained.. 2.5 hours was just enough in the heat.. although I could have stayed at the lake longer..
