We went down to Spruce beach and hiked over to Spine. Not a ripple on the lake. A few leaves are starting to turn. Lots of fall asters, goldenrod and tansey. Some big Hemlock and white pine along the trail. even a few large yellow birch..
Nice pace for the Monday leisure hike. Lots of chatter. A young woman from Blind River drove up to join us: she found us on line..
Joggers, dog walkers and fellow hikers were met on the way..
