Five hardy hikers braved the cold temperatures and biting wind to get out on the trails.
Our small group headed out from the bottom of the Look-out Tower road to Dumbell and Westnor Lakes. The old road was in great shape, and the bare trees protected us from the bitter wind.
Although trees are barren and the fallen leaves have lost their beautiful colours, 8uhthe bright white birch and the varied green of the evergreen trees are beautiful.
The recent rain has filled the small streams and a lone partridge(grouse) crossed our path. A wee bit of sun managed to get through the overcast skies, adding a pleasant touch to a very pleasant hike with a great, talkative group.
