No leader was booked for today so I took over at the parking lot. 6 of us signed up (one visitor from South Africa.) and we left the cars in the lot,
We crossed 108 and walked down to the atv trail. Followed that along to the ski hill and took the woods trail into Horne island. The boardwalk was slippery but the sun came out.
We circled the island and across from the cliffs, some party goers had left piles of garbage and cans. We overfilled two garbage bags and toted them out.
We stopped at the cook out spot for a rest and a chat and returned to the boardwalk by completing the circle.
A couple of trees are down on the path and a few boards either broken or cracked.
We took the shortcut back and after climbing the hill to the old civic centre we all proceeded to McD's for a hot drink. Snowed hard while we sipped. walked back to the car and on with our busy lives..
