We started out at the trail head and the snow was crusty, and someone had made a very narrow path with boots, so we had difficulty snowshoeing on even ground.
We stopped and took pictures of an abandoned sailboat just off shore. It was a sad looking sight, it must have made someone happy once upon a time.We hiked for an hour and after a break for a snack we headed back with the snow having softened nicely for a much more enjoyable hike back to the cars.
