On a cold crisp winters day, our hike leader Jean Guy guided us through the Quirke 1 area near the Serpent River. The snow transitioned from a knocked-down sledding trail to 18 inches of pure powder, adding excitement and intensity to the 3.4km journey completed in just under 2 hours.
Breaking trail and taking turns, we reached the Serpent River for a quick break surrounded by serene landscapes. Despite the cold temperatures, the minimal wind conditions made the snowshoeing quite enjoyable and the experience fostered a spirit of unity helping to create lasting memories as we embraced the challenges and beauty of the day.
