10 hikers braved the colder temperatures this morning to hike the 5 km plus trail below Rainbow Ridge. Renee, as hike leader, and Sue as sweep, managed to keep the group from getting lost, although Tim and I did have a consultation with Gaia to make sure! The trail alongside the lake has somewhat difficult terrain, but with the lake frozen enough, we were able to walk on the ice, making things much easier. A couple of falls, one resulting in a sprained finger, another foot that went through the ice where a stream flowed into the lake, and a pair of lost sunglasses, but other than that, no problems! With the hills and the more difficult terrain, the hikers agreed that this hike felt more than 5 plus km, yet it was enjoyed by all.
