8 hardy hikers set off on the Bob Sterling section heading in a westerly-ish direction. The plan was to link up with the trail that would take us down towards Sandy point and then back along Emily's trail to the parking lot at Spine beach.
Maybe it was the hoards of skeeters, maybe it was just the fact that the trail that led down to Sandy point was overgrown but we at first overshot the trail then bush-wacked our way back with the help of Gaia and Louise's innate sense of direction over to Sandy point where a nice cool breeze welcomed us coming off Elliot lake. After a short lunch break picture taking and rock hounding we started making our way back towards Spine beach. All told we hiked/bush-whacked 8km, thanks Jean Guy for picking up the TBA and figuring out where the hike would be.
