Thurs May 9th there will be an out of town hike to Mt Arabella which is part of the Heavens Gate recreational trail system.
This area is near the small village of Whitefish falls which is approximately 15 min south of Espanola. Here is a link to the google map showing directions from the Elliot lake scotia bank to the south access parking lot. Since the hike is out of town we will meet at the Scotia bank for 9am and should arrive at the parking lot around 1030am, the hike is 5.5km and approx 3hrs in total. As always proper footwear is required and hiking poles are recommended.
