Sherriff Creek - 9 hikers, 4.6 kms, 1:05 hr
Gorgeous hiking day - cool temperatures and lovely breezes helped to keep the bugs down! Today 9 of us hiked around Sherriff Creek for 4.6 kms following the red and big yellow trails. Lupin are out in full bloom as well as lady slippers, wild roses, daisies, devils paintbrush and yellow buttercups. We stopped to check out the turtle nests with their protective boxes surrounding them to keep predators away. Blueberry bushes are loaded with berries although not ready to be picked. Welcomed two returning hikers back to the club - wonderful day all around!
