We had six on our TBA ( Too Beautiful Always) hike. Due to the heavy rainfall last night, we decided to stay off the bush trails!
Washington Snow Dump was our starting and end point. The Esten Beach Loop was easily hiked without the usual large puddles and marshy areas.
The low water levels revealed tree stumps and logs that had not seen the sun in many years.
There were 2 trailers parked at Esten Beach. It was remarkably clean. Someone even had a garbage bag hanging on a tree with empty beer cans! The lake was as smooth as glass
Along the way, we noticed deer tracks, a partridge that we scared away and a small leopard frog .
7.0 km of beautiful leaf colour on trees and on the forest floor, and scintillating conversation!! Plus $2.50 in beer cans!!
What better way to spend a cloudy, humid, calm Saturday morning.?
Many thanks to Walt for being our noble and reliable Sweep!
