Dave led 14 of us up to Dunlop shores, though we never caught a glimpse of Dunlop lake.
The view over the east end of Banana lake was glorious as ever. The grouse suspected we were hunting so the hid away from us. It was a first time for a couple of hikers and a long time for some others.. we had to move a few small trees, (many hands,) that had fallen across the path but it was pretty dry, even the crick from Manydace lake.
The uphill coming back was as long as ever, but not steep..
the weather was perfect fall hiking, leaves on the ground in spots, wondrous company, a good day to be out and alive in Canada.
