A mild autumn day said no one ever. Crisp today, but the sun came out. We did some trail breaking at the start then had it easy for a while then "not bushwacking". It was a marked trail and wide open deciduous forest, mostly, as we skirted the mighty Slipper Lake. Tom found a route down a draw to the lake side and the hike leader had to bash through a few cedars to reach the lunch spot. The lake was partially frozen, which was cool to see. Up the hill and back the same way, as some hikers had cold paws. A nice spot which the hike leader will revisit and clear away some branches for a return hike later this winter. Thanks to those who submitted pics
