After a rather disjointed start six hikers set out from the trail head on Esten Road North under a brilliant blue sky and no wind. It was a wonderful snowshoe trail with enough hills to keep us puffing.
When we got to the boat launch, there was Heber waiting for us with a big smile and all the wood and kindling needed to enjoy a lovely little fire, started by Ruth. Sue, Mara and Keith cooked their lunch and a treat to share as well there, was a bag of home made ginger cookies to munch on. It was a great site for the fire as there is long tree down just waiting to be used to sit upon. The return hike was good as well and we stopped to say hello to Fred and to tell him to “ stay frosty”
