The beautiful warm sunshine, slight breeze, amazing scenery and the smell of fall in the forest were shared and enjoyed by ten (10) CdeB hikers.. We could not have asked for a more wonderful day to be out in the woods. And NO BUGS, except a dragonfly who tried to get into one hiker's personal space.
We made our way to Camp Thompson via a trail off an ATV trail. A total of 7 ATV riders passed by our group and friendly waves were shared between us. Several water puddles required us to sidestep around and a series of them required a little bushwhacking to get around if we didn't want wet feet. Jean Guy found a prospector's claim marker on a tree, perhaps dating back to the original days of Elliot Lake (?).
Nice break overlooking Dunlop Lake, then back along the trail to our vehicles.
So fortunate to have this natural beauty at our doorsteps..
