A cold day, -20 or so and a bit windy, on Tuesday, 3rd. Jan., but 12 intrepid souls braved the weather for a hike to Banana Lake via the south trail. The leader, your author, broke a snow shoe shortly after entering the deep snow off the main snowmobile trail so...did they make it? Would appreciate an update from our readers! Thx. to John F & Scott, for the pics.

Phill, I saw the Pictures on the Blog, from the Snowshoe Outing to Banana Lake. We never made it to the Lake, we kept going along, on what we believed was a trail, that followed the Creek, that we hoped would put us out near the Lake, but no such luck, We did not want to continue any further, because we were unfamiliar with the Trail, we saw some old Orange Ribbons on some trees, but still no Lake. We turned around at 11:30am and went back to a nice sunny spot on the Trail for Lunch, then it was back to the Road, and home again.
