MELON LAKE 2022 09 24

Eleven hikers started out the hike in beautiful sunshine, warm temperatures and good spirits. We walked along the trail at a pretty good pace (lots of pent up energy) and arrived at Melon Lake in a short time.  Two animal skeletons were found at the lake and a discussion followed as to what they could have possible been.  We came across a fairly large dead garter snake as well, we were wondering how it came to its end.

There were lots of leaves left on the trees and lots on the ground as well.  I like this trail because the woods are open and you can see a long distance into the bush. A good day was had by all ( I hope).
