Jean-Guy lead us on a hike halfway around Semiwite Lake. It was a beautiful but chilly morning as we left the Scotiabank. Arriving at Mississagi Park, we left our vehicles at the canoe/kayak rental and proceeded to the trailhead on foot. The mist was still hanging on the water on the far side of the lake. As we began walking the air temperature was rising as well as core body temp and wasn't long before articles of clothing found their way into backpacks. Arriving at the beach at the end of the lake, we had a quick lunch, then explored to see if we could find a shortcut back to the main trail. Alas, every path we took was a dead end. We succumbed to the obvious and made our way from whence we came. There were a couple of grouse on the trail keeping an eye on us.
It was a great hike.
